Confessions of a Post Holiday Machine Embroiderer

Like many of you, the New Year is a time for thinking about what you did well and not well over the past year and about what you want to do differently in the new year. Last year I made a leap of faith and left one job and started to pursue my passion of machine embroidery by doing it for others. I also started this blog which involved learning about wordpress blogging software and have to say that I still have all my hair. Thanks are due to Google and YouTube for all the lovely hours we spent together as I looked for answers to my questions. :) No doubt, we will spend more quality time this year.

As for the new year, the first item on my list is to clean up this:

Embroidery Studio Pre-purge

Ummmm, that red thread is where?

and this:

Yes, that's really toilet paper!

With finishing orders and making holiday gifts, there are no longer any clean surfaces or floors. So I will post updates as I purge and organize so you know you aren’t alone. This will also keep me on track, I hope. Otherwise, this will be my life –

Stressed Zebra

I think it must be Stress!

But this is not to be. Now with the aid of my trusty assistant –

Embroidery Assistant

I like the mess!

I plan to share more about machine embroidery, the process, the tips, the successes and the failures. Hope you want to join me on this journey!

Oh and yes, that really was toilet paper in the photo! I will soon post photos of embroidered toilet paper which makes great gifts for those hard-to-buy-for people that I know are in your life as they are in mine. Stay tuned……………

Not to out you, or anything, but you seem to have left out photos of the most impressive stacks of “supplies” … and by stacks, I mean haphazard piles.

However, I have great faith in your purging and organizing abilities over the rest of the month. :)

I have been so drugged up on nyquil that I’ve left post-holiday cleanup to my boyfriend… you can imagine how well that has gone!

Yes, there is a lot of that going on here… names will be mentioned, of course. But thanks to the process, I am discovering treasures that I forgot I had. Amazing!!! Hope you feel better soon.

Well, I am officially ‘outed’ but didn’t want to overwhelm anyone with the stacks and stacks of supplies, etc, everywhere. I do see some floor space now……the parquet is lovely….
